Flemington Lyceum Lecture "Public Spaces, Shared Places: Why Where We Gather Matters"

Flemington Lyceum Lecture "Public Spaces, Shared Places: Why Where We Gather Matters"

Thursday, August 21, 2025 (6:30 PM - 7:30 PM) (EDT)

Description

The Lyceum is a series of short public lectures that Jeremy Long and others have been giving on history, culture, and civic life. After each lecture, a question and answer period follows along with open discussion with attendees in the audience. Each one draws a mix of longtime residents, newcomers, and folks who just want something more thoughtful than a Facebook argument.

This isn’t an academic thing. It’s conversational, plainspoken, and open to all. We’re creating a space where people can think together again. Less scrolling, more talking; less reacting, more talking.
