2025 Special Recognition Award - Hunterdon County Partnership for Health

2025 Special Recognition Award - Hunterdon County Partnership for Health

We are honored to recognize an organization that has been a beacon of health and wellness in our community for three decades—the Hunterdon County Partnership for Health.

Established in 1995, the Partnership for Health has been unwavering in its mission to promote and improve the health, well-being, and quality of life for all residents of Hunterdon County. This dynamic coalition brings together nearly 60 community service providers, all sharing a common interest in fostering a healthier community.

Their comprehensive approach addresses a wide array of health concerns through initiatives such as the Healthy Lifestyle program, Drug-Free Task Force, Community Access and Transportation, Latino Access Coalition, Healthy Hunterdon Workforce Initiative, and Community Safety and Mental Health programs. These efforts reflect their vision that every individual in Hunterdon County attains a state of optimal physical, mental, spiritual, and social well-being—not merely the absence of disease.

Under the dedicated leadership of Kim Blanda, the coordinator of the Partnership, the organization has effectively prioritized community needs, built sustainable solutions, and fostered collaboration across sectors to improve access to care and quality of life. The Partnership continues to focus on data-driven, equitable outcomes that positively impact our community every day.

And the impact of these efforts has not gone unnoticed. This year, U.S. News & World Report ranked Hunterdon County as the 35th healthiest community in the United States—and 4th in the nation for health outcomes.

For two consecutive years, The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute named Hunterdon County the healthiest county in New Jersey. Key to this ranking was Hunterdon’s exceptional access to primary care—boasting the lowest ratio of residents to primary care physicians in the state: 820 to 1.

Hunterdon ranked first in health outcomes, such as length and quality of life, and second in health factors, including low obesity, smoking, and teenage birth rates.

These honors are a direct result of the powerful partnerships, programs, and people—like those in the Partnership for Health—who are deeply committed to our residents’ wellness.

As we celebrate their 30th Anniversary, we say thank you for your tireless work, your collaborative spirit, and your visionary leadership.

Please join us in presenting this Special Recognition Award to the Hunterdon County Partnership for Health. Congratulations, and thank you for helping Hunterdon County be one of the healthiest places to live in America.
