2025 Women Business & Community Leader Award - Rev. Angela Fields

2025 Women Business & Community Leader Award - Rev. Angela Fields
At the Chamber, we are proud to honor a woman whose life is a testimony to service, leadership, and unwavering commitment to justice, equity, and compassion.
The Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce is proud to present this year’s Women Business & Community Leader Award to a truly extraordinary woman—Reverend Angela Fields.
Reverend Fields is more than a leader—she’s a visionary, a pastor, an advocate, an author, and a fearless force for good. Guided daily by her deep and abiding faith, Angela has committed her life to lifting others up, especially those facing some of life’s most difficult challenges.
As Chief Executive Officer of Family Promise of Hunterdon County, Reverend Fields leads one of the most impactful organizations in our region—an organization committed to preventing and ending homelessness in our community. Under her leadership, Family Promise offers comprehensive support: from homelessness prevention and housing assistance, to mental health programs, car donation and re-gifting initiatives, and critical outreach services.
But Angela’s mission is about more than shelter—it’s about dignity, hope, and a promise for a better tomorrow. As she reminds us: “Promise is not just a part of our name… it’s our mission.”
With a bold and courageous voice, Angela is not afraid to challenge the status quo. She is actively working alongside state officials to identify and dismantle harmful policies that obstruct access to housing and rental assistance—ensuring that the displaced and vulnerable are protected, not punished.
Her passion for justice and equity has led to statewide recognition. Just recently, Governor Phil Murphy appointed Reverend Fields to the Interagency Council on Homelessness for the State of New Jersey, where she continues her tireless advocacy on a broader scale.
Angela’s personal and professional journey has shaped a woman who serves with both compassion and conviction. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communication with a minor in sociology, and a Master of Divinity in Community Development—and she lives her life guided by a powerful personal proverb:
“Serve children. Serve families. Secure communities.”
She is a woman of integrity, truth, and courage, and her legacy is being written not just in programs or policies—but in the lives of the families she’s helped, the voices she’s uplifted, and the futures she’s transformed.
On behalf of the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce, it is an honor to recognize Reverend Angela Fields with the Women Business & Community Leader Award.
Congratulations, Angela—and thank you for being a light in our community.
