Community Welcomes Menlha Kadampa Meditation Center to New Music Mountain Home

WEST AMWELL, NJ – The, Menlha Kadampa Meditation Center celebrated the grand opening of its new home on scenic Music Mountain with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by West Amwell Mayor Bob Balaam and the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce. The event brought together more than 70 community members, friends, and supporters for a warm and joyful morning of browsing the new space, connection, and art.

Mayor Balaam expressed his enthusiasm for the Center's arrival in the area, saying he was “delighted to welcome Menlha KMC to West Amwell and wish them great success in their new home.” His words were met with gratitude and applause, marking a meaningful start to the day's celebration.

Also in attendance was Christopher Phelan, President and CEO of the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce, who welcomed Menlha as a valuable addition to the local community. “The opening of Menlha Kadampa Meditation Center represents not only an investment in our county, but also in the well-being of our residents,” Phelan said. “Spaces like this enrich the cultural and spiritual fabric of Hunterdon County, offering opportunities for mindfulness, balance, and connection. We are thrilled to see them establish their home here on Music Mountain.”

Following the ribbon cutting, guests enjoyed a delicious brunch as they browsed original artwork featured in a silent auction. The event was filled with meaningful conversation, new friendships, and a shared sense of appreciation for Menlha KMC's growing presence in the area.

All proceeds from the art auction benefit Menlha KMC, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing accessible, transformative meditation classes and teachings for individuals of all backgrounds.

"We're incredibly grateful for the support of Mayor Balaam and everyone who joined us," said a spokesperson from Menlha. "This new space is more than just a building — it's a place for peace, spiritual growth, and community. We're so excited to share it with you."
