The Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce proudly welcomed Nothing Bundt Cakes to the local business community with a ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration at its new Raritan Township location. The event brought together Chamber members, County officials, business leaders, and residents to celebrate the newest addition to Hunterdon County’s growing retail and dining landscape. Hunterdon County Clerk Mary Melfi, presented a resolution on behalf of the Hunterdon County Commissioner recognizing the Grand Opening.

Nothing Bundt Cakes is a nationally recognized bakery brand known for its handcrafted Bundt cakes, warm bakery experience, and community-focused approach to celebrations. The company was founded in 1997 by friends Dena Tripp and Debbie Shwetz, who began baking cakes for friends and family in their Las Vegas kitchens. Their recipes—made with real eggs, butter, and cream cheese frosting—quickly became so popular that the pair opened their first bakery, launching what has since grown into one of the nation’s most beloved dessert brands.

Today, Nothing Bundt Cakes operates hundreds of bakeries across North America, with more than 800 locations in over 40 states and Canada, each offering a variety of cake sizes including full-sized cakes, mini “Bundtlets,” and bite-sized “Bundtinis.” The brand has earned national recognition for its quality, hospitality, and customer experience, and continues to expand as communities embrace its unique bakery concept.

The Flemington bakery is owned and operated by experienced franchise operators who already manage several locations throughout New Jersey and were drawn to the Raritan Township-Flemington community because of its strong local economy and vibrant retail environment.  Guests attending the grand opening enjoyed a festive ribbon cutting ceremony, opportunities to meet the bakery’s team, and of course samples of the bakery’s signature cakes. The celebration reflected the Chamber’s ongoing commitment to supporting entrepreneurship, encouraging business investment, and celebrating the success of businesses that choose to grow in Hunterdon County.
